Read Section 1-3
Assignment #2 & 3 (i'll count this one as two assignments because it's rather long)
Sect.1.3 / 1-6, 7, 8, 10, answer 11-15 and also see if you can expain what you should observe in each problem as there is a mathematical reason working behind the scenes, do 16-24(EVEN), 25, 26-47(EVERY THIRD), 50-51, 54, 59, & 60.
Assignment #4
Sect.1.4 /5, 7, 10, 17, 21, 23 25, 26, 28, 30, 33, 36-38, 48, 56 (Does the fact that the triangle is obtuse make a difference in the proportion?), 58 (do you notice the pattern?), (59 & 60 optional)
Assignment #5
Sect. 1.5 / 5-29(3), 46, 49, 52, 55-58, 60

Assignment #8
Sect. 2.3 / review identities 1-8 on the reference card. Make sure you understand based on the unit cricle definition how they are derived. 5-11 odd, 13-31 (Do not go by their directions, rather rewrite the expression in terms of sine, cosine, or tangent of the given angle then evaluate), 33-45(evry 3rd) these are like example 1 on page 81
Assignment #9
1. A model rocket is launch at a 70degree angle with the horizontal. if its initial velocity was an impressive 200 feet per second, what was the horizontal component of this velocity, and what was the vertical component of this velocity
2. A bird is flying in an east-west direction at 3meters per second when it releases a small moist projectile at an altitude of 300 meters above the ground. What is the initial horizontal component of the projectile's velocity. What is the initial vertical component of the projectile's velocity.
3. Krazy Kathy plans to jump her motorcycle 230ft over parked busses and what not. The ramp is 35degrees at the launch point and her launch speed is 82mph. What are the horizontal and vertical components on her speed.
3b. How long will it take her in the horizontal to travel the 230feet the jump requires? use (s = vt)
Lastly: Do the Ch 1 practice test on pages 50-51 and on pg51-52 / 51, 53, 55
Assignment #10
pg 52/ 55, 56, 57, 59
Section 2.3 / p. 86-87 / 47, 50, 52, 53 (Do at least two of these making a chart and plotting points. Graph paper can be found by following the links on the rosiework page or from me in my office door. For the other two you can sketch the plot off your graphing calculator), 54, 55, 57, 58
